Our commitment to expanding our network of authorised distributors and approved installers has allowed us to grow our team across all business areas.
We’re delighted to welcome and officially introduce James Festorazzi to the team as Business Development Manager. As the demand for AlphaESS products continues, having James lead our business development function and further enhance our brand awareness and relationships with distributors, installers and end-users is very exciting.
James has vast experience in the telecoms and renewables sectors–two constantly evolving and innovative sector landscapes. This is why James will be an pivotal asset to the AlphaESS UK team as we expand our domestic and commercial markets.
We caught up with James and posed a few questions to him about his experience, life away from work, and thoughts on growing AlphaESS within the UK.
Q&A with James Festorazzi
Welcome to AlphaESS UK, James. Can you provide some background on your career to date, and knowledge as it relates to renewables and AlphaESS UK?
Firstly, thank you for the wonderful welcome I have received from the AlphaESS UK team and also our partner network. It's been a great start to my career here and I appreciate everyone’s well wishes. Over two decades, I have gained expertise in technical and management roles nationally and internationally within the renewable energy and telecoms sectors. I commenced my career in technical roles in audiovisuals. Over the last 20 years, I have steadily climbed the ranks to steering large operational teams and business development, as demonstrated in my previous role as Operations Manager at REA Solar UK, where I ran the UK distribution of solar panels and installation teams, building extensive supplier networks along the way.
How are you enjoying AlphaESS UK, and what have your impressions been since you started?
Transitioning into AlphaESS UK has been easier for me than most, as I had previous experience working alongside the team on many projects. I knew the company invested heavily in its personnel and product development, which drew me to the company. Since starting, I have found the working environment excellent, and the team are very supportive and friendly. The quality of the products and the innovation speak for themselves, which gives me confidence when talking to distributors and installers.
The AlphaESS UK team is professional, whilst making sure the working day is fun and enjoyable. It’s a tight team, like a family with shared goals for the business, and even at these early stages I can see immediately how we are all working to the same objectives-clean energy and affordable, effective energy storage solutions. Ingrained within the company is a collaborative philosophy which allows ideas to flow and creates excellent communication, making the end-to-end process of building customer confidence much more streamlined and enjoyable.
Tell us a bit about yourself. What do you do when you're not working?
I used to think of myself as quite the adventurer, but upon reflection, I've realised I'm just your average Dad! Married with three kids—Marco, Mirena, and Rosalie. I find myself constantly trying to balance family life and my hobbies. My hobbies are pretty unusual, as they require spending considerable time either underwater, as I am a certified Deep Sea Diver, or on the ice, training and playing ice hockey. Navigating these passions alongside family commitments can be challenging, but it is all worth it.
