Can you tell us about the origins of your company and the key services you offer? How did you venture into the field of renewable energy, specifically battery energy storage systems?

Please provide some information around the size
of company and your team?
We have a team of 5 Engineers and 2 Managers. Our team is continually growing and we are looking for the right additional team members to continue our growth.
In which geographical areas do you primarily operate, and what would you say are people’s attitudes, both home and commercial, to renewable energy?
Our predominant location of business is the Isle of Man. The market is growing; customers are everchanging from reliance on the grid and non-renewable power sources. The Island Will benefit from our partnership with AlphaESS UK.
What motivated your decision to partner with AlphaESS UK for battery energy storage solutions? How has this partnership enhanced the value you provide to your customers?
Over the course of 2023, we have invested in AlphaESS systems for home battery storage and commercial customers. We have worked with the AlphaESS UK team, which has shown us fantastic support, value and system diversity. This has allowed CleanTech Limited to build on our relationship, and we are so pleased to become the approved AlphaESS UK distributor for the Isle of Man.
From your experience, what sets AlphaESS products apart from other energy storage solutions in the market? Can you share a particularly interesting and successful installation story involving an AlphaESS system?
We have installed various systems, and our engineers are learning about each system, which offers varying options and some restrictions. We have found that, especially in the complex situations that other systems struggle with, the AlphaESS systems are diverse, offer much more flexibility, and, in terms of support, warranty, and backup, give us confidence.
How do you stay informed about the latest developments in the energy sector, and how do these trends impact your business strategies and the solutions you offer?
The AlphaESS UK sales team are excellent at providing information, product updates, new product info and support. This transfers to our customers and installers.
What advice would you give to someone considering integrating battery energy storage into their home or business? How does AlphaESS facilitate this transition?
Ensure that the system is designed for you. Consult with the CleanTech team to ensure you are not buying a system too large or insufficient for your needs. Consult with us at the earliest stage; the more you work with our team, the more you will get out of your system. Can the UK hit its Net Zero targets? If you were energy minister for the UK, what would you be doing?
The Isle of Man government needs to promote change and create a practical and achievable drive for a NET Zero year. We would like to be part of that change and work with the AlphaESS UK team to achieve it.
Looking ahead, how do you see renewable energy and battery energy storage evolving in the UK’s energy landscape? What are your company’s plans for growth and adaptation in this changing environment?
The prohibitive cost is not as cumbersome as it has been over recent years. Our company is more about partnership rather than quick wins and financial gains. The market is strong, and education is needed for many potential commercial and domestic customers. With the right marketing and improved cost benefits, we feel the outlook is bright.
What message would you like to give to other installers or companies considering a partnership with AlphaESS UK?
The ability to have a proactive supplier team is essential. The team that resolves problems, makes it easy for installers and other companies to complete the install, deals with issues, and, most importantly, gives customer confidence is essential. We believe the AlphaESS UK team does exactly that and does it very well.
