AlphaCloud provides customers with a comprehensive view of the complete energy ecosystem. It enables you to see in real-time the amount of your PV generation, energy consumption, and battery energy and to set your preferences to optimise energy independence and saving.
The solar panel system and battery energy storage solution at Mr Hale's property have been in combined commission for 2 months. The system is proving 7.3 kW of power, which is providing enough energy to supply the energy needs of Mr Hale's property comfortably. In fact, before installing the BESS, Mr Hale spent around £28 a week on electricity, averaging approximately £4 a day. After a month and a half of installing the system, and accounting for the winter months at the time of installation, the property's electricity costs were down to £14.50 a week, just slightly over £2 a day. As Mr Hale generates energy in months where he may not be using the total generated power, he will store energy; the system has a capacity for 11.4 kWh of energy storage, which he may even decide to connect his system to one of the attractive, smart energy import and export energy tariffs, like Octopus Energy's Flux Tariff, providing a future revenue stream for Mr Hale.
The systems and support for Mr Hale from AlphaESS UK and Woodhouse Plumbing, Heating and Electrical Ltd are making a significant difference. Energy supply and electricity costs are now not something Mr Hale dreads, but rather something that he has become excited about the solution he has for the future. Like many of us, Mr Hale also has a desire for a more environmentally robust world and through his on-site energy production, storage and potential to feed much-needed excess energy into the grid, he's playing a pivotal part in helping the UK's net-zero aspirations, one Kilowatt of power at a time.
