Supplying Battery Energy Storage to the North West

Can you tell us about the origins of your company and the key services you offer? How did you venture into the field of renewable energy, specifically battery energy storage systems?

We are a Cheshire-based M&E company that was established 20 years ago. We have vast knowledge and experience in heating and electrical systems, so moving into the world of renewables was a natural progression. We are also very passionate about reducing carbon emissions. We have fully decarbonised our office building by installing an air source heat pump and PV system,

of company and your team?

We are a team of 30 spread across our plumbing, heating, and renewable departments and have a fleet of 15 vans on the road at any one time servicing the local area, we have also expanded our services and are now able to offer Solar, EV, Renewable Energy, AlphaESS home battery storage Underfloor Heating, and Bathroom Installations in addition to our existing core strengths.

In which geographical areas do you primarily operate, and what would you say are people’s attitudes, both home and commercial, to renewable energy?

We currently cover the North West and are looking to expand our geographical area in the near future. In the last few years, we have seen a massive shift in attitudes and willingness to install renewable energy. A lot of our customers are keen to reduce costs by saving money and also reducing there carbon footprint

Could you describe your typical customer? How do you tailor your services to meet the diverse needs of residential, commercial, and industrial clients?

We have an even split of both domestic and commercial clients. Each need is different. We look at their data usage and future plans and tailor a package that will work long-term for them

What motivated your decision to partner with AlphaESS UK for battery energy storage solutions? How has this partnership enhanced the value you provide to your customers?

AlphaESS UK has a wide range of products suitable for nearly all of our domestic and commercial installations. Our team have found them a good system to install, and customer feedback has been excellent.

How do you stay informed about the latest developments in the energy sector, and how do these trends impact your business strategies and the solutions you offer?

We communicate closely with our supplier partners to stay fully up to speed on new products coming to the market. We also try to attend as many trade shows as possible.

What advice would you give to someone considering integrating battery energy storage into their home or business? How does AlphaESS facilitate this transition?

Battery storage is a great option with or without Solar PV. AlphaESS UK will provide advice and assistance on the best product to suit the needs of a particular customer —the AlphaESS team never offers a one-size-fits-all solution.

Can the UK hit its Net Zero targets? If you were energy minister for the UK, what would you be doing?

We are a positive and optimistic company so I would like to envisage someday a net zero UK. The UK government should offer more financial support to make solar and battery storage a requirement on all new-build properties.

Looking ahead, how do you see renewable energy and battery energy storage evolving in the UK’s energy landscape? What are your company’s plans for growth and adaptation in this changing environment?

I can only see the renewable energy sector getting bigger and more progressive. Our plan is to keep well-tuned in to the changes and evolve our business as the industry grows.
